Notes

I started working at JACK Casino in April of 2025, hitting the floor as a blackjack dealer starting in June. I was working the night shift, with Wednesday and Thursday being my days off. Being that I was celebrating Saturday on Wednesday, I bought some cheap bus tickets to Toledo and Detroit to nab photos of the graves of Morrison Waite and Henry Billings Brown.

Having just come off the night shift, I headed for Toledo on an 8am bus with an hour's sleep. Nabbed a 360 photo (or "photo sphere" as I guess we're calling them now), then on the bus to Detroit. On the bus, I sat next to the "hot nerdy girl" from the teen movies who suddenly becomes a smokeshow when she takes off her glasses. Slept the whole way to Detroit.

Once in Detroit, caught a city bus to get to the cemetery. At roughly my second stop, a young gay man being harassed at the bus stop ("you're trying to be a woman") exercised his hate on the whole bus for the duration of his ride ("bitch! you look older than my mama and she's 45"). Half an hour of yelling at this woman who never even got on the bus.

Cemetery is located behind the parking lot of another church, but there are plenty of signs leading you to the entrance. Got my photos without incident.

Bus back to the Greyhound station, but stopped at a hotel restaurant to charge my phone up before heading back. Return bus sat next to a guy who was oblivious to the concept of "sharing a seat on a bus." Not a large man, but right up against me in my seat the whole way.

Sleepy.
